CASE STUDY · DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
Calgary Justice Film Festival: hours of admin, handed to AI.
A part-time Executive Director with no paid staff. One coaching session. A film-entry workflow that now checks itself.
THE CHALLENGE
Rowan Fisher runs the Calgary Justice Film Festival as a part-time Executive Director, with no paid staff. Every film had to be entered into Showpass by hand: synopses, posters, details, then checked line by line against her master programming sheet.
WHAT WE DID
In a one-on-one coaching session, we walked through exactly how Rowan already did the work, then turned that process into a Claude workflow. We trialed it on a single film before going further.
THE HONEST PART
As the workflow grew, it got complicated and manual fixes crept back in. So we simplified, switching to a lighter approach using the Claude Chrome extension. Real AI adoption is iteration, not magic.
“Then we trialed it with one film. It was perfect. It is now adding the films I haven't done yet, checking the ones I did for accuracy against my master programming sheet, and ensuring posters, synopsis etc are perfect in the descriptions. Mind blown!!”
